Who is Renzo Cheesman?
Renzo Cheesman is a composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a bachelor’s degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music and an Associate in Arts in Music from Miami Dade College. His portfolio includes his role as the composer and music consultant for Rain4est, a New York-based company specializing in movies, videos, and sound. He has also composed scores for over 10 thesis films for senior students at major universities across the country. Renzo has contributed to high-profile productions, including a project featuring Grammy-winning artist Finneas, where he provided support in the production.
Growing up, Renzo was immersed in a diverse spectrum of musical genres, including Orchestral music, American and British Classic Rock, Doo Wop, New Wave, Blues, Southern Rock, Gospel, Christmas music, and Peruvian traditional music. Additionally, living in various countries and cities around the world has significantly expanded his musical knowledge and repertoire, allowing him to draw from a wide range of influences in his work.
Renzo's expertise lies in creating music that captures specific emotions. Drawing from his extensive background in different genres, he has a strong ability to recreate the essence of various eras and decades, as well as the unique atmospheres of different settings and cultures. In addition to his work scoring for film, he also co-founded the original band "Mapache Orange".
